APR
The annual percentage rate — the yearly cost of borrowing, including interest and certain fees, shown as a percentage.
Credit utilization
How much of your available credit you're using. It's one of the factors commonly used in calculating a credit score.
Principal
The original amount borrowed on a loan, separate from the interest charged on top of it.
Credit score
A number that summarizes information from your credit report, used to help assess how you've managed credit.
Minimum payment
The smallest amount you must pay on a credit card by the due date to keep the account in good standing.
Loan term
The length of time you have to repay a loan. A longer term usually means smaller payments but more interest paid overall.
